Employment and the ability to compete for jobs play a vital part in the regeneration of Devonport.

The Employment Theme`s aim is to create a vibrant local economy, with quality employment prospects for residents and growth opportunities for local businesses, through increasing skills levels and making it easier to access advice and encourage training linked to employment. Supporting existing businesses and encouraging enterprise is fundamental in bringing increased economic wealth to the area. DRC Partnership has a range of business support programmes in situ to help ensure this happens.

DRC Partnership funded projects continue to work to deliver a range of employment related services and initiatives for the benefit of the community. Access to advice and guidance on a range of benefits, jobs and training has continued to be a major success for the DRC Partnership`s co-ordination role.  DRC Partnership is also working to influence the main stream providers and statuary organisations to ensure they engage more fully with hard to reach groups within Devonport.
