Resident Board Members

The DRC Partnership Board was set up in 2002 and consists of 23 members. The local community makes up the majority of the voting members of the Board - there are ten elected residents with an additional five places for local community interest, as well as eight representatives from external agencies. The role of the Board is to oversee the programme of regeneration, in the five core areas of Health, Education, Employment, Liveability and Community Safety, and to make key decisions about the area's future.

They have the power to give the go ahead for money to be spent and have enabled a wide of activities to be funded, from the Brickfields Sport Centre to providing bursaries for Higher Education students in Devonport.

Board members are highly committed, spending on average a minimum of twenty hours a month on DRC partnership business, with no personal payment. Your community's future is decided by community representatives, people whose hearts and minds are firmly rooted in Devonport.
