Employment Benefit, Advice and Guidance

To continue to provide and maintain service / support to DRC Partnership from Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) by providing funding for office accommodation and line management for two seconded DWP staff.  The project was set up, at beginning of Devonport New Deal for Communities, with full NRU funding. Jobcentre Plus recognises the value of this proposal to the community and DRC Partnership, and continues the activity from the DRC Partnership premises.

The staff continue to provide a local Benefit/Job Broking/Advice & Guidance and support service to the community, and signposting to other agencies when relevant.

The staff work with DRC Partnership staff and are an active part of the programme team working on and managing projects to address worklessness.
