Projects
Plymouth Music Zone; The Devonport Legacy
This project aims to significantly develop and enhance Plymouth Music Zone`s activties within Devonport and to develop the organisation as a flagship social enterprise that will have a real impact on the local community for a long time to come.
The project will provide new Plymouth Music Zone (PMZ) activities to the Devonport area including different services that are specifically for older people (Silver Sounds), young peole (Street Beatz), early years age groups (Tiny Tunes), disbaled people (Sensation Music Station) and people affected by drug and alcohol issues (Forward Moves) within the NDC area. Activities will also be provided within the local Devonport primary schools and links established with the local Devonport youth providers. There will be an opportunity for a Devonport 16-25 year old to become an Aprentice Music Leader and work towards an Open College Network nationally recognised `Diploma in Community Music Practice`. Some capital improvements to the organisation, namely purchasing of equipment, a van and improvements to the main hall that will allow the centre to stage its own performances.
