Bursary to Higher Education
The Bursary to Higher Education is open to those residents, who have lived within the NDC postcode area for at least 2 years, who are undertaking their first degree course and are attending university/college on a full time basis.
The bursary of £1000 a year is made in 3 instalments
The bursary is paid throughout the life of the degree course, which is generally three years in duration. In return for this financial support each successful applicant will be expected to carry out 40 hours of volunteer work within the community for each year of payments.
You do not have to repay the bursary!

Pathway to your Future Bursary
The Pathway to your Future bursary is open to those residents, within the NDC postcode area, who are undertaking either the Open Door (20 week preparation for Access to Higher Education course within the community) or the Access to Higher Education course.
i. The Open Door course
This bursary of £150 is paid in 2 instalments
ii. Access to Higher Education
This bursary of £400 is paid in 3 instalments with the final payment made on completion of examinations/course work assignments in June/July.

Employment/Training Grant
The Employment /Training grant is available to local residents, living within the NDC post code area, to support the purchase of equipment and/or payment of fees necessary for their particular training/employment opportunity.
The amount paid to individual applicants is dependent upon each individual's needs for their particular training/employment opportunity.
Before payments are made, evidence of spend and endorsement from the training provider or employer, is required.

16 18yrs Full Time Education Bursary
The Devonport 16 - 18 years Full Time Education Bursary is available to those local residents, living within the NDC postcode area, aged between 16 and 18 years, who are staying on in full time education, post compulsory education.

The Revision for Year 11 Bursary
The Revision for Year 11 Bursary supports all year 11 children living within the NDC postcode area, with revision material up to the value of £50 per pupil.
