Small Business Support Grant

This is a discretionary grant to support businesses within the NDC area by encouraging investment, expanding business activity and helping improve the visual appearance of commercial premises.

There are four areas where assistance can be given;

  1. Minor property improvements to commercial premises
  2. Access and service improvements for public benefit
  3. Local marketing and advertising
  4. New initiatives to expand trade

A business can be supported with up to 75% of the costs to make these improvements up to a maximum of £ 3750 in any 2 year period.

Retail Security Grant

The scheme includes a free security assessment of business premises within the NDC area, by an independent security consultant. The business is provided with a written report on all aspects of security.
From this report the business can apply for a security grant for the necessary security work to be carried out up to a value of £9000.

Devonport Against Retail Crime

DRC Partnership is funding local retailers to join in with the successful Plymouth city centre scheme. The scheme provides quick access to the latest information on retail crime, links traders with Bobbies on the Beat and through a radio network with the dedicated Devonport CCTV camera operation.
This new initiative provides a safer retail environment for businesses, staff and customers.

ICT Support Grant

The ICT Support Grant supports businesses within the NDC area by encoraging the use of information and communication technology to improve business efficiency, access new markets and improve customer relations.
