The Devonport Business Support which is funded by DRC Partnership Service provides independent advice and support to both established businesses in the New Deal for Communities area and residents wanting to start their own business.

Business Planning
- Business advice from experienced Business Advisors
- On-going support for trading businesses
- Support in writing business plans
- IT support with cash flow scenarios
- Signposting to relevant business support organisations
- Access to one hour free advice session with solicitor and accountant
Self Employment Support
- A 4-day training course designed to give individuals the Key Business Skills to start their own business
- 4 months to test trade your business while remaining in receipt of benefits on a Business Rehearsal scheme
- Support in the first year of trading
Finance
- Business Rehearsal Grants
- Business Start Up Grants to financially assist businesses in their first year of trading
- Small Business Support Grant providing 75% grant assistance for businesses trading over one year
- Assistance with loan and grant applications to other financial institutions
Networking / Marketing
- Devonport Business Development Group bi-monthly forum
- Business seminars on topics related to local business needs
- Access to free of charge marketing through Devonport Business Development Group website
